If you need a visa to enter Germany either as a congress delegate or trade fair visitor, you can find helpful information on the website of the Federal Foreign Office :

The Federal Foreign Office also provides you with the address of the relevant German embassy or consulate and application forms for Schengen visas. You will find a list of the documents required for applying for a visa in your country of origin (in German as well as an official language of your country of origin) on the website of the relevant German embassy or consulate in your country of origin.

If you come from the following countries, please contact the foreign representative of Leipziger Messe in your country of origin. The respective representatives will assist you with the visa application – including, for example, the letters of invitation.

If you are a congress delegate or trade visitor from another country and require a letter of invitation for visa purposes, please indicate this when registering. Just check the corresponding box. You will then receive an email with a form to fill out with your personal data, which will be required to create the invitation letter. Please provide all necessary information and fill in all mandatory fields on the form, otherwise your application cannot be processed.

You will receive a letter of invitation within five working days of receipt of the application and verification of the data supplied.

Note: Invitation letters will only be issued to congress delegates and trade visitors of the particular trade fair who can prove their professional connection to the industry.

Invitation letters are addressed to the responsible German embassy or consulate and are written in German. You will receive your invitation letter by email.

Please inform us in good time if you need an original letter of invitation for your visa application. This will then be dispatched by normal post.

Note: Please be aware that Leipziger Messe cannot assume any costs for shipping by express mail or courier.

Should you wish to have the original delivered to you by courier, you can handle the collection of the document yourself and bear the resulting costs.
